Monday morning in NYC today was raaaiiiiinAY, as in the best type of morning to stay warm under the covers and snooze, especially because I have not been sleeping as much I know my body needs (ahem, 9 hours. For real, I think I could have been a professional sleeper, as evidenced by my self-imposed childhood bedtime of 8pm).
I forewent the snooze even though it was calling to me, had a quick brekkie which involved my veggie mash and turkey cold cuts (I seriously crave cold cuts all the time), guzzled the coffee, and headed down town for signup.
This was for Roundabout's upcoming show. Sometimes for straight play epas, they have you do sides from the show instead of a monologue. They tape the sides on the wall so you can read and take pics on your phone. When it is 20 minutes before your appt time, you get a paper copy of the sides to study on your own. You can't mark the paper in any way though, which is tough for me because as soon I get a script I must immediately mark it up until it resembles a less elegant marauders map.
After taking pics of the character sides I wanted, I went back to my apt to exercise, do some chores, and prep for the audish.
I love auditioning for contemporary plays, because it usually involves wearing your normal every day clothes. And the character I went for was described as wearing a bun, so no need to fire up the old curling iron :D.
Post audish was a trek through the rain down to Chelsea to report at CAP21. All in all, a pretty actory Monday.
SUNDAY I must say was quite miraculous as the bf and I spent a good chunk of the day exploring Central Park. It was chilly, but still beautiful. I'll be daydreaming about the view all week:
